The truth is, success does not look the same for everyone.

It is not always about being the best at something. More often, it is about trying your hardest, especially when things get tough. It is learning from your mistakes, not avoiding making them.  It is becoming a better version of yourself every day.

As you write today, think about what success means to you. There is not one right answer– your definition is part of your story.

Journal Prompt

What does success mean to you? Describe what success looks like in your life. What goals, accomplishments, or personal qualities make you feel successful? Explain why those things matter to you.

Definition: Something you accomplish through effort, practice, or determination.

Example: "Finishing my first chapter book was a big achievement."

Writing Challenge: Figurative Language

Figurative language helps readers imagine your ideas by making creative comparisons.

Simile

A simile compares two things using like or as.

Example: Success is like climbing a mountain—every step brings you closer to the top.

Metaphor

A metaphor compares two things by saying one is another.

Example: Success is a bridge built one stone at a time.

Personification

Personification gives human qualities to something that isn't alive.

Example: My dreams whispered, "Don't give up."
